Meet Angelo Bonomelli our Italian-Costa Rican Pro. Bonomelli, one of the best-known Italian surfers is our third Mentawai Surf Camp Pro of our Surf-With-A-Pro Program.
This month was clearly about aim, drive, and discipline.
Angelo Bonomelli proved to have all of them in sufficient quantities to be Costa Rica’s No. 2 (and arguably No. 1 if you been following contests down there).
Angelo showed that the central American surfing level has nothing to envy the rest of the world’s counterparts and his humble gratefulness for the opportunity of experiencing the Mentawais with us showed us his best side as he genuinely helped and gave advice and support to guests at the camp. A special bond between him and Diego’s son Torik was a significant highlight, witnessing Angelos natural way of handling young kids while surfing with them showed a considerable improvement of Torik surfing but outside in the family social environment where Torik got more socially involved, driven and communicative with parents, friends guests, and teachers.

” I am eager to bring more driven Pro’s to young coach guns like Torik; it is a beautiful place and experience that will mark them for life. Having these guys here in close quarters and extreme fraternization is a gift to make yourself better in your surf technique, and it will extend to many aspects of your life.” Diego
